At the core of my work is a simple belief: every person carries a seed of potential, and my role, whether planting, nurturing, or harvesting is to walk beside them as that potential unfolds. I strive to meet people with presence, empathy, and respect, creating spaces where growth feels possible.
I hold a Master of Social Science in Community Mental Health Promotion and a Bachelor of Psychology (BPsych). Over the years, I have journeyed through diverse communities and systems, each shaping the way I understand people and the stories they carry.
My professional path has led me to support survivors at the Victim Empowerment Unit at the Midrand police station, travelled with the Transnet Phelophepha Healthcare Train, offering counselling in rural communities, and walk alongside children and families during court preparation at the Teddy Bear Clinic. These experiences deepened my commitment to community, connection, and compassionate mental health promotion.
In addition to my therapeutic and community work, I am a lecturer at SACAP – the South African College of Applied Psychology, where I teach and mentor aspiring Registered Counsellors. This role allows me to contribute to the next generation of counsellors and deepen the field through reflective, human-centred education.
My practice is rooted in a humanistic, person-centred approach that honours each individual’s dignity and capacity for change.
