I am a HPCSA registered Counselling Psychologist. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) as well as my Masters of Arts in Community-based Counselling Psychology degrees at the University of the Witwatersrand.

I have experience working at a University setting, the NGO sector as well as community-based projects. I have offered psychological services including psychotherapy and psychological assessments to adults and children from diverse backgrounds. I mostly utilize the psychodynamic approach due to its proven potential to bring about long-term, sustainable changes. However, I am flexible in my approach on a case to case basis.

I advocate for the validation of people’s experiences, beliefs and convictions, and in their potential to search within themselves and around them for tools to facilitate personal growth and healing. I strongly believe in the notion that ‘you cannot pour from an empty cup’, which encourages self-compassion. Through psychotherapy I offer a space for individuals, couples, and groups to refill their cups, to allow them to function optimally in society.
